Parnell Jubilee Building 1907

With this image I begin a series focused on Parnell, Auckland’s oldest suburb.

The history of Māori settlement in Tāmaki Makaurau (the Māori name of the Auckland region) dates back for almost one thousand years.

An elegant suburb, Parnell is among Auckland’s most expensive suburbs.

The Jubilee Building, also known as the Parnell Community Centre, is a popular venue for musical events. My wife and I have attended numerous concerts at this centre.
