Nepal Festival 2023 Auckland - three gentlemen

The coat first caught my eye.

After expressing my admiration for the splendid fashion, I ask the gentlemen for permission to take a photograph of them. They adopted three distinct poses: all engaged, delighted but particular - head pointed straight ahead with eyes closed; a bemused smile and distracted glance; intent focus on me through veiled eyes and relaxed posture.

What to do with one’s hands? three statements.

The intensity with which the woman and her child focused on the act of eating, of being fed, also drew me into the moment of this streetscape vignette.
