Wynyard Quarter - Dockline Tram
something dreamy & nostalgic
Tram lines were once a thing. They crisscrossed cities; they connected city centres with suburbs. They linked cities.
Trams moved people . . . slowly . . . affording rare opportunities to gaze, perhaps in wonder, at what passed by . . . slowly.
And then we fell in love with cars, with speed, eventually with roads that bypassed wonderment.
Wynyard Quarter has reinstated a time machine . . . enter, take a seat, go back to another movement through time,
with unhurried reverie and a gesture to repose
