NZ Visual Diary - entry 244
street corner blur
I was standing on a corner in Winslow Arizona . . . or was it Devonport . . .
A bicyclist was speeding towards me from my right as a group of people were making their way to the corner on the opposite side of the street. If timed properly, I thought, I could superimpose a blurred image of the cyclist against the corner medley on the opposite side of the street.
It was my Cartier-Bresson moment, or maybe not, but I had a palpable sense of possibility.
Given that I took but one shot and not a ten-frame burst, I believe I nailed the timing.
