humanity (and pigeons) on parade
This impromptu parade across Te Komititanga Square captures the eclectic (and expressive) nature of public dress in contemporary life, although to be fair some of the attire may have been imposed by workplace demands.
Kiwis love to go barefoot everywhere, and not just on the beach, so the fact that all parade participants are wearing footwear may be out of step. Then again, the presentation of a shoeless soul may have made the photograph too much a mimicry of the Abbey Road album cover.
And even though I took this image with my camera at waist level to mask my photographic intentions, the expression on the woman’s face may be a clear indicator of how badly I do stealth.
