Friday Night Market - North Wharf
It was my first night walk in some time. I kept to Wynyard Quarter, hoping to find something of photographic interest at the recently installed Friday night pop-up market at the west edge of the North Wharf shed.
The night air was discernible cooler, a reminder that summer was waning. Against the backdrop of stalwart Kiwis who wear shorts and tees year-round, many tonight wore jackets or sweatshirts; but the palpable chill did not diminish the crowd at night market.
I found my spot at the edge of the market stalls and waited for the scene to unfurl. I post here my favourite image of the evening’s amiable festivities.
