dapper gents - Te Komititanga Square
Te Komititanga Square is a large public plaza situated between the upscale retail mall Commercial Bay and Waitematā (aka Britomart) Train Station. It is a great place for a street photographer to hang and wait, usually for not very long, for a picture to materialise.
The square is a developing tray, like those found in a dark room, in which images magically arise.
In the waning days of autumn the other month, I made my way to Te Komititanga and patiently waited for the elixir in my streetscape tray to work its alchemical transmutation.
In short order two gents, dressed to impress, emerged and transformed the plaza’s prima materia into photographic gold.
