To my eye the appearance of the young woman was confronting, more apparition than highly stylised woman. And yet, I am apologetically certain that my observation will offend some, a remark more notably for its cultural insensitivity than artistic insight.
I was also drawn to her posture, balancing her weight as she did in the moment on rear foot, forming the illusion that her front foot, although encased in heavy boot, was all but weightless, complying with the insatiable insistence of gravity with only the demure obedience of pivoted heel.
