twilight along the wharf
It was a time to exhale, to listen to other voices in my head and simply but deeply gaze at the world in wonder, to apprehend and fully appreciate the gift of having the time and circumstance to dwell within beauty and serenity.
The sheer geography of New Zealand affords that luxury of never being too far from the sea, from a place of vast expanse, or - as was the moment the other evening - of harboured water, luminous with light both natural and manufactured but beautiful nonetheless.
A stillness that whispers: ‘be calm and experience a moment of rapture whilst it beckons.’
