Fantastic Planet - inflatable sculpture (artist: Amanda Parer)

Featured in the 2022 Auckland Art Festival were a series of inflatable sculptures of gigantic 'humanoids' by Australian artist Amanda Parer. She was inspired by the 1973 science fiction film 'Fantastic Planet.'

My image adds several layers of coloured textures to the illuminated figure.

Figures in various poses appeared throughout the city centre during the March art festival.
